Get up close and personal with its amazing inhabitants and enjoy the weightless feeling of scuba diving on a safe and fun resort dive. If you love the first dive (and we guarantee you will), you also have the option to complete a second scuba dive at the afternoon great barrier reef location.

With plenty of time for snorkelling in between!

Introductory Scuba Diving


Introductory diving is for people who do not hold a scuba qualification but would like to scuba dive the Great Barrier Reef.

After a short and informative briefing teaching you the basics, a professional scuba dive instructor will guide you around the coral reef.

You may also wish to do a second resort dive during your day tour on the Great Barrier Reef.  Yes, there will be plenty of time cost is $65. The second introductory dive lasts about 30 minutes.

Included in your Reef Experience Great Barrier Reef tour is the option to try a ‘no-experience necessary’ Resort Scuba Dive.

Included in your Reef Experience tour is one certified scuba dive, with an optional second available.

Dive Certification

This is for everyone who already holds a scuba diving licence (minimum: Open Water).

Top-quality scuba equipment hire, including a dive computer, is provided onboard, free of charge.

You will be given a scuba dive briefing on the outward journey to your first reef destination and a site briefing of the reef locations of the day.

Onboard you will have the choice to dive with another passenger as your dive buddy.  An option to take a guided dive with an experienced crew member cost is $15.


Second introductory/resort dive – $ 65
Second certified scuba dive – $ 55
Guided certified scuba dive – $ 15
