Scuba diving Cairns is a fantastic way to see the Great Barrier Reef for experienced and introductory scuba divers.

You can also look under reef ledges to see fish and marine life.  Keep an eye out for turtles and lagoon rays around the reef.

Introductory Scuba Diving

Introductory diving is for people who do not hold a scuba qualification.  You can experience an introductory scuba dive in the Great Barrier Reef if you are fit and well, even if you cannot swim!  Reef Experience’s best crew on the reef will swim for you so that you can experience a scuba dive.

After a short and informative lesson, a professional scuba dive instructor will guide you around the Coral Reef.

During your day tour, you may also wish to do a second resort dive, and Yes, you can.  Our second introductory dive lasts about 30 minutes and costs $70.00.

Beginners can try scuba diving!

Included in your Reef Experience Great Barrier Reef tour is the option to try a ‘no-experience necessary’ Resort Scuba Dive.

This Great Barrier s a fantastic time to try scuba diving.  It’s fun, easy and safe.

All certified divers can do one certified scuba dive, and an optional second is available for an extra charge.

Dive Certification

This Great Barrier Reef tour is for everyone with a scuba diving licence (minimum: Open Water).

Top-quality scuba equipment hire, including a dive computer, is included.

Along the way, there will be a scuba dive briefing.  Next, there will be a location and a site briefing of the Reef locations of the day.

Onboard you will have the choice to dive with another passenger as your dive buddy.  An option to take a guided dive with a crew member costs $15.
