Resort Diving

Try scuba diving at the Great Barrier Reef!

Unforgetable encountersIncluded in your Reef Experience Great Barrier Reef tour is the option to try a ‘no-experience necessary’ Resort Scuba Dive on the Great Barrier Reef!

With an optional second dive available*.

This is available to everyone who has never tried scuba diving before, or who doesn’t hold a Scuba Licence, but is medically fit and wishes to give it a go! It’s fun, easy and safe.

 

What is Resort Scuba Diving?

Resort Diving is for people who do not hold a scuba qualification but who want to try scuba diving on the Great Barrier Reef.

After a short and informative briefing teaching you the basics, you will be guided around the coral reef by one of our experienced Scuba Dive Instructors.

You may also wish to do a second resort dive during your day tour on the Great Barrier Reef and yes there will be plenty of time to do so cost is $65.

The second resort/ introductory dive lasts about 30 minutes.

Get up close and personal with it’s amazing inhabitants and enjoy the weightless feeling of scuba diving on a safe and fun resort dive.


If you love the first dive (and we guarantee you will) you also have the option to complete a second scuba dive at the afternoon great barrier reef location.

With plenty of time for snorkelling in between!

Minimum age for trying scuba diving is 12 years.
Resort diving is available to all medically fit people.
Some medical conditions or medications may prevent you from participating in scuba diving activities.
Please check with us prior to making your booking if you are unsure.  Please read our ‘Important Information’ page prior to your great barrier reef trip.
Please also be aware that you can not fly or drive to altitude for 24 hours after completing a scuba dive.

Certified Scuba Diving on the outer Reef Included in your Reef Experience tour is one Certified Scuba Dive, with an optional second available .

This is for everyone who already holds a scuba diving licence.

Top quality scuba equipment hire including dive computer is provided on board, free of charge.

You will be given a Certified Scuba Dive briefing on the outward journey to your first reef destination, and a site briefing of the reef locations of the day.

On board you will have the choice to dive with another passenger as your dive buddy or pay an additional cost of $15 to take a guided dive with an experienced crew member.

 

The Reef Experience dive team are dedicated to making your memories of the Great Barrier Reef last a lifetime.
